Koji Igarashi and Inti Creates return with more retro action with sword and whip. Players take control of Zangetsu, a swordsman from the Far East who carries a deep grudge against the demons and alchemists who summoned them.


Zangetsu must fight to reach the demonic fortress, but he must not do it alone. Zangetsu can ally with a new cast of characters he meets along the way and add them to the list of playable characters.






Each new character adds a variety of game options, skills and ways to complete the many stages of the game.


Players can also create demon hunting duos in the local 2-player co-op, available for the first time in the series.
